Honoring Local Efforts: IEBFC 

Perinatal Mental Health Panelists

Join us for a multi-disciplinary gathering focused on:

Activating a local network of perinatal providers

  • Foster awareness of effective perinatal mental health screening tools and strategies.

Exploring Socioeconomic Barriers

  • Evaluate barriers faced by formerly incarcerated pregnant women in accessing quality maternal healthcare services.

​

Engaging in the Maternal Health Network

  • Identify how to actively contribute to the support and well-being of birthing families.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the Summit, participants will be able to:

  • Identify two (2) different ways to actively engage in the maternal health network towards effectively contributing to the support and well-being of birthing families.

  • Analyze and interpret data from the MHN Data Snapshot to improve the ability to identify key metrics and trends, and make strategic decisions for supporting birthing families in San Bernardino.

  • Explain the socioeconomic and systemic barriers faced by formerly incarcerated pregnant women in accessing quality maternal healthcare services.

  • Apply reflective practice skills among healthcare professionals to continuously learn and adapt approaches when supporting formerly incarcerated pregnant people, ensuring ongoing improvement in care delivery.

  • Apply advocacy skills to champion for policy changes and community initiatives that aim to improve maternal health equity for marginalized populations.

  • Utilize effective perinatal mental health screening tools and strategies.

  • Plan support strategies for pregnant and postpartum clients at-risk of or experiencing PMADs.

  • Identify and discuss best practices, resources, and policies that contribute to improving access and quality of perinatal mental health care.

  • Describe the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) program and its potential impact on maternal health.

  • Identify opportunities and strategies for local organizations to effectively utilize the Enhanced Care Management program in addressing maternal healthcare disparities.

Continuing Education

  • This conference meets the criteria for 4 CERPs/CEUs/BRN continuing education credits sponsored by the Inland Empire Breastfeeding Coalition. 

  • This conference meets criteria for 4 continuing education credits for LMFTs, LPCCs, LCSWs, LEPs, and psychologists qualify for APA sponsored CE credit through the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in the state of CA.

  • Community Partners FBO Maternal Mental Health NOW is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Community Partners FBO Maternal Mental Health NOW maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

  • There is no known commercial support for this program.
